Tensions Rise After Qatar Strike; Donald Trump Issues Warning Over Iran’s South Pars Gas Field

The situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly volatile as attacks on key energy installations escalate. Donald Trump has warned that if Qatar faces another strike, Israel could target Iran’s major gas reserve, the South Pars gas field. He emphasised that no action would be taken against the facility unless Iran initiates further aggression toward Qatar.

According to Qatar’s Defence Ministry, an Iranian missile strike caused damage to the country’s primary gas hub, Ras Laffan Industrial City. The site is considered one of the largest natural gas processing centres in the world, making the incident particularly significant for global energy markets.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a strong warning, stating that any further attacks by the United States or Israel on Iran’s energy infrastructure would trigger massive retaliation. The group claimed that oil and gas industries across Gulf nations could face destruction if tensions continue to escalate.

Iran has blamed both the United States and Israel for the earlier strikes on its gas facilities. President Masoud Pezeshkian cautioned that targeting energy infrastructure could lead to severe and uncontrollable consequences.

At the same time, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have condemned the attacks on Iran’s gas facilities. Analysts warn that continued escalation could disrupt not only regional stability but also global energy supplies.
