A grand unveiling ceremony of ‘Abhivyakti’, a special multilingual magazine encapsulating the academic, cultural, and institutional achievements of Meerut College for the years 2023–2025, was held on Tuesday at 1 PM in the college’s historic Committee Hall.
The event was graced by Mr Vivek Kumar Garg, Secretary of the Meerut College Management Committee, and Prof. (Dr.) Yudhveer Singh, Principal of Meerut College, jointly released the magazine.
A Tribute to Creativity and Expression
The magazine has been edited and curated under the leadership of Prof. Alpana Rastogi, Head of the English Department, along with an editorial board comprising Dr Monika Bhatnagar, Dr Poonam Singh, Dr Vachaspati Mishra, Dr Abha Awasthi, Dr Nidhi Singh, Dr Mukesh Semwal, Dr K.K. Gupta, and Dr Nancy Sharma.
What makes Abhivyakti truly unique is its publication in four languages: Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Urdu, reflecting the rich cultural diversity and intellectual inclusivity of Meerut College.
Both the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended their congratulations through special messages. The Governor remarked, “This magazine will inspire students to explore literature, creativity, and the power of self-expression.”
A Chronicle of Legacy and Progress
Abhivyakti features a visual and written chronicle of the college’s historic journey, including rare photographs of its original 1892 Kesar Ganj Mandi campus and ancient inscriptions that symbolise its rich academic heritage.
The publication also highlights university-level achievements, national and international sports honours, extensive media coverage of more than a hundred cultural events, and the activities of 29 academic and administrative committees that define the college’s dynamic ecosystem.

Leaders Applaud the Initiative
During the launch, Secretary Vivek Kumar Garg lauded the effort, stating, “Abhivyakti is not merely a magazine; it is a living document of the college’s creative energy, achievements, and cultural ethos. It reflects both the identity of our students and the pride of our institution.”
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Yudhveer Singh emphasised the academic and intellectual significance of the publication, adding,
“This magazine represents the educational environment of Meerut College, one that nurtures knowledge, critical thinking, and leadership.”
A Symbol of Institutional Pride
Dr O.P. Agarwal, Chairman of the Management Committee, and Mr Garg extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Rastogi and the editorial board for their dedication and vision.
With its blend of historical depth, creative expression, and scholarly accomplishment, Abhivyakti stands as a vibrant testament to Meerut College’s illustrious journey, a true reflection of its enduring spirit of learning and cultural excellence.
