A major update has arrived for lakhs of engineering aspirants across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the registration process for JEE Main 2026 (Session 1). The application form was released on October 31, 2025, and candidates can now complete their registration online at jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in.
Application Deadline and Exam Schedule
According to the official NTA notification, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be conducted from January 1 to January 30, 2026, while Session 2 is scheduled from April 1 to April 10, 2026.
The last date to submit the online application form for the January session is November 27, 2025.

Documents Required for Registration
During the registration process, candidates must upload the following documents:
- Aadhaar Card
- UDID Card (for candidates under the disability category)
- Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL)
The NTA has advised all applicants to ensure that these documents are valid and updated before submission to avoid rejection or discrepancies later in the admission process.
Previous Exam Trends
Like previous years, JEE Main 2026 will also be held in two sessions.
In 2025, the January session took place from January 22 to 30, while the April session was conducted from April 2 to 8.
In 2024, the January exams were held from January 24 to 31, and the April session ran from April 6 to 12.
