By: The Trek News Desk

Amid fresh disclosures linked to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, Britain’s King Charles has issued his first public response, stating that Buckingham Palace is prepared to fully assist law enforcement if approached regarding allegations connected to his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

According to a statement released by Buckingham Palace, the King has clearly expressed, both through his words and unprecedented actions, his deep concern over the continuing allegations surrounding Andrew’s conduct. The Palace emphasised that addressing the specific accusations remains Andrew’s responsibility, but confirmed that full cooperation would be extended should Thames Valley Police seek assistance.

Thames Valley Police has meanwhile confirmed that it is examining a complaint submitted by the anti-monarchy group Republic. The organisation has accused Andrew of misconduct in public office and of breaching official confidentiality obligations.

Recently released Epstein-related documents reportedly include emails suggesting that Andrew shared official reports from visits to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam with Epstein. Records indicate that on 30 November 2010, Andrew forwarded these reports to Epstein just minutes after receiving them from his then-special adviser, Amit Patel.

The files also reference investment-related information connected to Afghanistan, described as “confidential,” which was allegedly shared with Epstein on 24 December 2010. Under official guidelines, trade envoys are required to safeguard sensitive commercial and political information obtained during official engagements.

In its statement, Buckingham Palace reiterated that the King and Queen’s thoughts and sympathies remain firmly with all victims of abuse. Earlier on Monday, during a visit to Clitheroe, King Charles faced a heckler who questioned him about Andrew, a moment that was met with disapproval from the surrounding crowd.

Prior to this, a spokesperson for the Prince and Princess of Wales also expressed serious concern over the latest Epstein-related revelations. Kensington Palace stated that their focus remains on the victims, as Prince William prepares for an official visit to Saudi Arabia later this week.

Pressure on Andrew has intensified following the release of nearly three million additional Epstein-related documents. Among the claims is an allegation that a second woman was sent to the UK by Epstein. The newly released files also include controversial photographs that have further fuelled public scrutiny.

The controversy has also caused discomfort for Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson. Emails signed “Sarah” reportedly show requests for financial assistance and support from Epstein.

Last week, Andrew was relocated earlier than expected from Royal Lodge in Windsor to King Charles’s private Sandringham estate. Previously, in October 2025, he was stripped of his titles as prince and duke following earlier waves of revelations concerning his association with Epstein.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Authorities have reiterated that being named in Epstein-related documents does not, in itself, constitute proof of misconduct.
