Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally submitted a request for a presidential pardon to President Isaac Herzog, seeking clemency in light of the long-running corruption cases against him. A statement from the President’s office confirmed the submission, acknowledging the exceptional nature of the request.
The President’s office stated, “The Office of the President is aware that this is an extraordinary request, which carries significant implications. After receiving all relevant opinions, the president will responsibly and sincerely consider the request.”
