Israel Issues Stark Warning: Next Iranian Supreme Leader Will Be ‘Eliminated’

By: The Trek News Desk

Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Israel has delivered a fresh and uncompromising warning to Iran. Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, stated that whoever is selected as Iran’s next Supreme Leader will automatically become a direct target for Israel.

Posting on X on Wednesday (March 4, 2026), Katz declared that any leader appointed by Tehran who continues policies aimed at Israel’s destruction, threatens the United States and regional nations, or suppresses the Iranian population will be treated as “a target for elimination.”

The warning came a day after Israel reportedly struck a building in Tehran on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) linked to Iran’s Assembly of Experts, the constitutional body responsible for selecting the country’s Supreme Leader.

The conflict intensified following Israel’s February 27, 2026, strike that killed Iran’s 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. That attack marked the beginning of open military hostilities between the two nations.

Strategic analysts suggest that Israel’s latest statement could further escalate tensions across the region. While Iran has yet to issue an official response to the new threat, the security situation in West Asia remains highly volatile.
