Anmol Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind behind the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique, is expected to be brought back to India soon. Sources confirmed that his deportation process in the United States has been completed, and he could arrive in New Delhi at any moment.
Deportation Cleared; Agencies to Decide Custody
According to a senior government official, the Centre will now determine which investigative agency will take Anmol into custody first, as multiple cases against him are registered across different states.
Another official indicated that Anmol “may land in Delhi within a few hours.”
Victim’s Family Receives Confirmation from US Authorities
Zeeshan Siddique, son of the late NCP leader, told the media that he received an official email from US authorities on Tuesday. The message stated that “Anmol Bishnoi has been removed from the United States by the federal government.”
Zeeshan said he had registered his email earlier with US agencies to receive updates related to the case.
Named as the Chief Plotter in the 2024 Murder
Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his Bandra office on October 12, 2024. During the investigation, the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested 26 individuals and named Anmol Bishnoi as the primary conspirator in its chargesheet.
Investigators recovered several audio clips from the mobile phones of arrested suspects. The voices in these recordings reportedly matched Anmol’s, and he is heard issuing instructions and encouraging the attackers.

Facing Multiple Criminal Cases Across India
The 26-year-old accused is also wanted in several high-profile cases, including:
- The Sidhu Moosewala murder case (2022)
- The 2023 firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence
- Multiple other cases registered in different states
Anmol was detained by US authorities in November 2024, after which India initiated the process to bring him back.
NIA Had Announced a ₹10 Lakh Reward
Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) declared a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to Anmol’s arrest. According to the agency, he was linked to 18 criminal cases till November 2024, including allegations of providing weapons and logistical support to the group involved in Sidhu Moosewala’s murder.
Brother of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi
Anmol is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Investigators believe that, with Lawrence incarcerated, Anmol had been managing key operations of the crime syndicate.
