Today, the 18th convocation of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology in Meerut is being held. For this event, the university administration, along with the police and health departments, has been preparing for several days to ensure the successful organization of the ceremony.
The Chief Guest for the program, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Mrs. Anandiben Patel, arrived in Meerut yesterday. After an overnight stay, she will reach the venue at 10 a.m. today and will inaugurate the convocation ceremony.
Distribution of Chancellor’s Medal and 22 Other Awards
During the convocation, one student will be awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal. Additionally, a total of 22 awards will be presented, including seven gold medals, seven silver medals, and seven bronze medals. These awards aim to recognize the academic achievements of the students and motivate them to perform even better in the future. Special preparations were made for the award distribution process, and rehearsals have been conducted over the past few days.

583 Students to Receive Degrees
In today’s ceremony, a total of 583 students will be awarded degrees for their academic excellence. Of these, 177 female students and 406 male students will receive their degrees. Out of the 22 medals, 13 will be awarded to female students and seven to male students. This event marks a significant milestone for the university, as the ceremony also celebrates the institution’s continued excellence.
During the program, Governor Anandiben Patel will address the students, encouraging them and motivating them to contribute to the country and society in the future. This convocation ceremony will add another glorious chapter to the university’s history.
