Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it carried out missile and drone attacks on US military positions in Jordan, allegedly causing damage to several American fighter aircraft and military tankers. The claims were reported by Iranian state media, while the United States has not issued any immediate confirmation or response regarding the allegations.
According to the IRGC statement, the operation involved the use of multiple ballistic missiles and a large number of drones. Iranian officials claimed that some US military assets were destroyed during the strikes, while several others suffered significant damage. However, the claims have not been independently verified.
Iran has further alleged that it targeted several locations in Kuwait where American military forces were reportedly stationed. Tehran claimed that the attacks damaged military equipment, including High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) platforms and missile systems.
The IRGC also claimed that US forces and Israel-backed fighters were present at some of the targeted locations. In its statement, the group said the operations resulted in casualties among what it described as “opposition elements” and US special forces, though no independent confirmation of these claims has emerged.
The latest developments come amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States in the Middle East. Reports suggest that Washington has carried out further strikes targeting strategic infrastructure and bridges in Iran as part of efforts to increase pressure on Tehran over its activities in the region.
Meanwhile, Iran has claimed to have launched fresh missile attacks against US-aligned countries, including Qatar. The IRGC has also stated that its operations have extended to areas in northern Iraq’s Kurdish region and locations linked to US special operations forces in Syria.
The escalating exchanges indicate a widening regional conflict, with both sides continuing to make claims about military operations and damage caused. Many of these assertions remain unverified, while the international community continues to closely monitor the situation.
