U.S. President Donald Trump has put forward a detailed plan to end the ongoing Gaza conflict. His proposal aims to bring peace, rebuild Gaza’s infrastructure, and set the region on a path to long-term stability. Trump believes that if both Israel and the Palestinian side accept the plan, it could offer Gaza a new beginning.
Here are the 20 major points of the plan:
- A Terror-Free Gaza
Gaza will become a demilitarized zone with no militant activity, ensuring safety for both its residents and neighbouring countries. - Rebuilding Gaza
Basic services like water, electricity, hospitals, bakeries, and roads will be repaired and rebuilt. - Ceasefire and Hostage Release
If the plan is accepted, all military operations will stop immediately, and all hostages will be released within 72 hours. - Prisoner Exchange
After the hostages are released, Israel will free 250 prisoners serving life terms and 1,700 others detained since October 7, 2023, including women and children. - Amnesty for Disarming Hamas Members
Hamas members who agree to give up their weapons and commit to peace will be granted amnesty. Those who wish to leave Gaza will be allowed to do so safely. - Uninterrupted Humanitarian Aid
Aid will be allowed to enter Gaza without political interference. Distribution will be handled by neutral organizations like the UN and the Red Crescent. - Temporary Civil Administration
A non-political committee made up of Palestinians and international experts will manage public services in Gaza. This committee will work under a new international body led by Donald Trump. - International Stabilization Force (ISF)
An international force will be deployed in Gaza to maintain security and train Palestinian police. The force will also help manage border security with Egypt and Israel. - Economic Development Plan
An expert panel will design a plan to rebuild Gaza’s economy, attract investment, and create jobs, based on successful examples from other Middle Eastern cities. - Special Economic Zone (SEZ)
Gaza will have a special trade zone offering reduced tariffs and easier access to international markets. - Freedom of Movement
No one will be forced to leave Gaza. Those who wish to leave or return will be free to do so. - Excluding Hamas from Governance
Hamas and other armed groups will not be allowed to participate in Gaza’s governance, directly or indirectly. - Complete Demilitarization
All weapons, tunnels, and military infrastructure will be dismantled. An international buyback program will support the disarmament process. - Security Guarantees
Neighbouring countries and international partners will guarantee that Gaza remains peaceful and free from militant threats. - Gradual Withdrawal of Israeli Forces
Israeli forces will gradually pull back as the international force takes control and Gaza becomes stable. - Backup Plan if Hamas Refuses
If Hamas rejects the plan, the proposal will still move forward in parts of Gaza already under the control of the international force. - Interfaith Dialogue for Peace
Programs will be introduced to encourage peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between Palestinians and Israelis. - Monitoring and Oversight
Independent monitors will oversee every step to ensure both sides stick to the agreement. - Path to Palestinian Statehood
If the Palestinian Authority completes necessary reforms, a roadmap for a future Palestinian state will be developed. - U.S.-Led Peace Talks
The U.S., along with other international partners, will lead new political talks between Israel and the Palestinians to establish long-term peace.
While it has not yet been formally accepted or rejected by Hamas.
