Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised students to use technology as a tool for growth rather than allowing it to dominate their lives. Emphasising balanced usage, he said technology should serve as a means to enhance skills and unlock potential, not become a controlling force.

Speaking during the second episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha, the Prime Minister expressed concern over the growing dependence of children on mobile phones and television. He observed that many students are so attached to screens that they struggle to even eat without them, calling it an unhealthy trend. He urged students to take a firm stand and ensure that technology remains under their control.

The interaction was held with students from Coimbatore, Raipur, Guwahati and Gujarat. During the discussion, Mr Modi encouraged students not to fear emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. Instead, he advised them to embrace these advancements as opportunities to sharpen their abilities and strengthen their capabilities.

Sharing tips on exam preparation, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of practising previous years’ question papers and maintaining proper sleep routines. He noted that thorough preparation naturally reduces stress, while adequate rest helps students stay energetic and positive throughout the day.

Recalling his own school days, Mr Modi spoke about the influence of his teachers, who consistently emphasised physical exercise as a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. He underlined that mothers and teachers play a crucial role in shaping the lives of successful individuals.

On the subject of leadership, the Prime Minister clarified that leadership is not limited to electoral politics. He said the true mark of a leader lies in the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, adding that anyone who can convey their thoughts well to others demonstrates leadership qualities.

Concluding his address, Prime Minister Modi encouraged students to remain confident and adopt a balanced lifestyle, stressing that such an approach would help them excel not only in examinations but also in life ahead.
