Iran’s Army Chief, Major General Amir Hatami, has issued a strong warning to the United States and Israel, stating that any military action against Iran would trigger serious consequences. He said Iran’s armed forces are on heightened alert following increased U.S. military deployments in the Gulf region.

Speaking to Iran’s state-run news agency IRNA, General Hatami said that any miscalculation by Iran’s adversaries would not only threaten their own security but would also destabilise the entire region, including Israel. He emphasised that Iran’s military is currently operating at full defensive and combat readiness.

The Iranian army chief also addressed concerns surrounding Iran’s nuclear program, asserting that the country’s nuclear scientific capabilities cannot be destroyed. His remarks come after U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran might pursue a deal to avoid potential American strikes.

General Hatami said Iran’s nuclear science and technology are deeply rooted in the nation’s foundation and cannot be eliminated, even if the country is forced to make significant sacrifices. He stressed that Iran would continue to advance its scientific capabilities regardless of external pressure.

The warning comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, with growing fears of a confrontation involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Regional observers note that the latest statements further underline the fragile security situation in the region.
