India and Russia Seal Vision 2030 Economic Cooperation Pact After Modi-Putin Talks

India and Russia have signed a long-term Vision 2030 Economic Cooperation Agreement following high-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The framework aims to deepen collaboration across trade, investment, technology exchange, and skilled workforce mobility over the next decade.

Prime Minister Modi said the agreement will “expand economic opportunities for both nations and open new pathways for diversified growth.”

23rd India-Russia Annual Summit: Strategic Partnership Reinforced

Welcoming President Putin in New Delhi for the 23rd bilateral summit, PM Modi noted, “President Putin, my friend, welcome to India. Twenty-five years ago, Russia laid the foundation of our strategic partnership, and today we are taking it to new heights.”

The two leaders are also set to address the India-Russia Business Forum, where discussions will focus on co-production, technology partnerships, and innovation-led collaboration. Modi added that both countries are moving forward on a potential Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Eurasian Economic Union, calling it a “significant step” toward enhanced economic integration.

India Announces Free 30-Day e-Tourist Visa for Russian Nationals

In a major mobility initiative, India has introduced free 30-day e-tourist visas and 30-day group tourist visas for Russian citizens.
PM Modi said the new measures will strengthen “people-to-people linkages and tourism-driven economic engagement.” Two related agreements were also signed during the summit.

India Reaffirms Call for Peace on Ukraine Crisis

Addressing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, PM Modi reiterated India’s consistent stance on dialogue and diplomacy.
“From the outset, India has advocated peace and constructive engagement. We welcome every effort aimed at achieving a sustainable and lasting resolution,” he said. “India has always contributed to these efforts and will continue to do so.”
