Dainik Jagran’s Meerut E-paper Edition Accidentally Publishes Its Editorial ‘Day Plan’

By: The Trek News Desk

In an unexpected editorial slip-up, Dainik Jagran, one of India’s leading Hindi dailies, accidentally published its internal “Day Plan” in the e-paper edition of its Meerut (UP) edition.

The leaked page, which appeared in Wednesday’s digital edition, contained detailed instructions for the day’s news layout, including a note specifying that Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s interview would be featured as a full-page story, with an additional highlight on page one.

15 Stories Listed, Only Amit Shah’s Marked for Special Coverage

The half-page document reportedly listed 15 stories scheduled for publication that day. However, what caught readers’ attention was that no other report received similar prominence or directives.

The inclusion of such detailed editorial planning, typically meant for internal coordination, has raised eyebrows in journalistic circles, sparking questions about transparency, editorial independence, and the handling of political coverage.

Editorial Goof or Political Signal?

While Dainik Jagran has not issued an official clarification so far, the incident has stirred conversation on social media, with journalists and readers debating whether it was an accidental upload or a reflection of editorial bias ahead of upcoming elections.
