Tensions flared at Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) on Tuesday as students protested against persistent technical glitches in the odd semester examination form submission process.
Led by former student union general secretary Ankit Adhana, dozens of students gathered outside the Controller of Examinations Office, demanding immediate resolution of the ongoing technical failures that have disrupted the form-filling process for more than a week.
Students Allege Negligence by Technical Agency
Addressing the protest, Ankit Adhana sharply criticised the private agency responsible for managing the online exam forms, questioning its efficiency and accountability.
He alleged that despite repeated complaints over the past several days, no effective action had been taken to fix the issues.
“Thousands of students are facing difficulties; some can’t open their back paper forms, others are unable to access semester forms, while students with grace marks are being locked out entirely,” Adhana said.
He added that in several postgraduate courses, the fee section displays zero, preventing students from completing payment and submitting their forms.
University Promises Swift Action
As the situation escalated, Exam Controller Dr Virendra Kumar Maurya met the students and spoke directly with the agency’s representatives over the phone.
Several technical problems were reportedly resolved on the spot, while Maurya assured that the remaining issues would be fixed at the earliest.

The protest later moved to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, where Adhana and a student delegation met Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Shukla and Registrar Anil Kumar Yadav.
They requested the administration to grant one final admission opportunity in LLB and BALLB programs, arguing that many students lost their chance to enrol in aided colleges due to delayed merit lists and should now be allowed to apply to private institutions.
Student Leaders Join in Support
Several prominent student leaders, including Vineet Chaprana, Rohit Gurjar, Pramod Shergarhi, Ashu Goswami, Anuj Gurjar, Krishna, A.N. Malik, and Soni, were present during the protest.
They warned that if the problems persist, a larger demonstration may follow in the coming days, pressing the university for a permanent technological fix.
