A powerful explosion was reported early Sunday near the United States Embassy in Oslo, the Norwegian capital, prompting an immediate response from security agencies. Authorities quickly deployed a large number of police personnel to the area as a precaution while investigations began.
According to police officials, the blast occurred at around 1 a.m. local time on Sunday (March 8, 2026). The exact cause of the explosion and whether anyone was responsible for it remains unclear at this stage.
