Iran’s ruling establishment has released the first public message from the country’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, through state television. In the statement, he issued a strong warning to the United States and its allies regarding their military presence in the region.
According to the broadcast, the new leader stated that all US military bases operating in the region should be shut down immediately, warning that they could become targets if they continue to operate.
The statement also indicated that keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed would remain part of Iran’s strategy to apply pressure on the United States and Israel.
In his message, Mojtaba Khamenei emphasised that Iran’s actions are directed only at foreign military installations located in nearby countries. He also reiterated that Iran supports maintaining friendly and cooperative relations with its neighbouring nations.

The statement further expressed gratitude to the Iranian people from different sections of society for standing united against what the leadership described as external threats.
Khamenei also extended condolences to families who lost loved ones during the conflict, saying that the government would take steps to compensate those affected by the damage caused by the war.
The message concluded by stating that crimes against humanity, particularly those involving children, would not be overlooked and that the issue would be addressed with seriousness.
