IIM Ahmedabad MBA-FABM 2025 Placements: Average Package at ₹18.4 LPA, Highest Touches ₹34 LPA

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has officially released the final audited placement report for its Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management (MBA-FABM), Class of 2023–25. The report reveals a diverse range of job offers across sectors, with consulting, Agri-inputs, FMCG, food processing, and commodity trading standing out as key recruiters this year.

As per the audited data, the average annual package offered was ₹18.4 lakh, while the highest domestic package reached ₹34 lakh. Additionally, the maximum potential earning, which includes performance-based components, stood at a notable ₹41.83 lakh per annum.

A Hybrid Placement Process Concludes Successfully

The placement process was concluded on February 6, 2025, and was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both online and offline participation. A total of 52 roles were offered, with 44 students accepting final offers.

The placement process unfolded in two phases:

  1. Lateral Placement Round – Targeted at students with prior professional experience, offering mid-level managerial roles.
  2. Final Placement Round – Companies were grouped into industry-based clusters and invited to campus in a scheduled manner for interviews.

The drive saw participation from 35 companies, including a mix of returning recruiters and several new names making their debut. Notably, 3 students received lateral offers, 12 secured Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), and one student opted out of the process to pursue an entrepreneurial venture under the IIMAv­ericks Fellowship.

Sector-Wise and Company Participation

Among the returning recruiters were industry leaders such as Accenture, Amul, Ernst & Young, Godrej Agrovet, Grant Thornton, Nestlé, PepsiCo, and PI Industries.

Meanwhile, the new recruiters included Ashirvad by Aliaxis, Jain Irrigation, Midland Microfinance, National Dairy Development Board, Novasol Ingredients, PCI India, and Valency International, reflecting the programme’s growing industry relevance and reach.

In terms of sectors, consulting emerged as the leading domain with the most offers, followed by FMCG and food processing. Other sectors that hired from the batch included Agri-tech, Agri-inputs, and commodity trading, demonstrating the programme’s alignment with both traditional and emerging domains.

Functional Roles Breakdown

When broken down by job function, the majority of offers were made in consulting and sales & marketing, followed by roles in business development and strategic planning. A few international placements were also recorded, underlining the programme’s expanding global footprint.

The MBA-FABM 2025 placement report from IIM Ahmedabad showcases the programme’s strong industry linkage, diverse placement opportunities, and increasing recognition among top recruiters. The rise in both average and highest compensation figures signals a positive trend for future aspirants.
